🃏 Best Card Games Worldwide

Want to impress the locals during your travels?

Why not learn a national card game?

Here are 10 of the best 2 player card games to play worldwide!

✈️ Best Places in Cartagena (Colombia)

Next week, I’ll visit Colombia for the first time, and Cartagena is a must-visit (especially since my girlfriend was born there).

Luckily, I met Jenny, the founder of Vive Más Tours, a tour agency that organizes trips to Colombia.

She was kind enough to share her best places in the walled city Cartagena.

📀 Habibi Funk (Arab World)

Habibi Funk is a Berlin-based DJ dedicated to music from the Arab world.

It’s a fantastic way to discover new music, especially Arabic funk and soul bands from the ’60s—’80s.

Check out the Spotify playlist Eclectic Music Selection from the Arab World and this fantastic song.

✉️ A Well-Read Wanderer (Newsletter)

The A Well-Read Wanderer newsletter is a free monthly newsletter with all the best content for bookworms.

It features exclusive book and product recommendations (long before they hit the site or socials), plus a curated list of the best upcoming literary events you’ll want to have on your calendar.

📙 A Case of Exploding Mangoes (Pakistan)

One of my Pakistani friends recently recommended his favorite book, a Case of Exploding Mangoes.

General Zia ul-Haq, Pakistan’s 6th president, ruled for 10 years until he died in a plane crash with the US ambassador on board.

What happened, and who killed the president?

This humorous historical fiction novel provides several scenarios. Was it the protagonist’s need for revenge, the 2nd general’s hunger for power, or the mango farmers association?

🎬 The Territory (Brazil)

Disney’s documentary, The Territory, gives an insight into the world of illegal deforestation in Brazil.

The film shows a nuanced picture of the people involved in deforestation and those affected by it.

It’s different and more human than you may expect.
