📗 The Making of a Manager | Book Takeaway

A manager is a specific role, just as an elementary school teacher and heart surgeon are. Leadership, on the other hand, is the particular skill of guiding and influencing other people.

As a manager, your task is to ensure your team knows what success looks like and cares about achieving it.

You need to focus on the purpose, people, and process. In other words, the why, the who, and the how.
